The Family Mass
The Family Mass is scheduled for the 9:30 am Mass each Sunday with the exception of major holiday weekends. The final Family Mass for this school year will be May 31st. After Mass on May 31st all families are invited to the Church Hall for some light refreshments and to see the artwork the children have benn working on.
What is the Family Mass?
The Family Mass is a wondeful way to get your children involved in the liturgy. We invite all children (Kindergarten and up) to gather in the church with their families. At the conclusion of the opening prayer, Father will invite all the children present to gather with our Family Mass team. The children will proceed down to the church hall for the Liturgy of the word, followed by an activity or song based on the readings of the day. The children will then proceed upstairs for the offertory of the Mass. They will process up to the altar during the offertory procession and gather around the altar with the priest. The children will remain there until the sign of peace. At the sign of peace, the children will go back to their parents for the remainder of the Mass.
