Parish Outreach
Office Number:   887-4560

".. I say to you, whatever you did for one of these least brothers of mine, you did it for Me".

Our Parish Outreach listens to the suffering of the economically poor and the poor in spirit in the parish community.  It is concerned with providing support and service to anyone in need and acts as a referral source for counseling, health care assistance and other needs which require professional help.
Some programs of the Outreach Office are:
Consolation Ministry:  Assists our parishioners at the time of death of a loved one.  The Consolation Minister meets with the family, in the Outreach Office, to help them prepare for the funeral Mass.

Visits to the Homebound:  Every so often a parishioner finds that due to illness or age, they are unable to attend Mass.  We have Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist who regularly visit those who find themselves in this situation.  Please contact Denise Williams at the Outreach Office if you or someone in your family is confined at home and wishes to receive the Eucharist.

Bereavement Group:  A self help group for anyone who has recently experienced the death of a loved one.  The goal is to provide comfort, support and information in difficult times.

Blood Drive:  In conjuction with the Long Island Blood Services, our parish sponsors a yearly blood drive to help the community.  The drive is usually held in October.

Card Ministry:  Volunteers send greeting cards to the homebound and cards of Remembrance to those who have suffered a loss.

Telephone Ministry:  Volunteers call the homebound twice a week to let them know the parish is thinking of them and praying for them.
