OUR LADY OF LOURDES
Maybe you have always wanted to be part of the music ministry in the parish. Whether you are young or older, into choral or contemporary music, sing or play an instrument ... There is a place for you!
If you have any questions regarding the choir groups please call:
Mr. Stephen Harth
OLL Music Director
The Adult Choir leads and enhances the congregational singing at the Sunday 11:00 AM Mass. The Choir plays a very important part in the Solemn Christmas and Holy Week Liturgies, Seasonal Concerts, and special events. No musical experience is required. If you enjoy singing, please consider joining this group. Rehearsals are Thursdays at 7:30 PM. Seasonal help is also welcome if you are unable to commit to weekly 11:00 AM Mass.
Grades 4 and Up
The Youth Choir is a combination of many different ages coming together to sing one song to the Lord! They lead us through song on Saturdays at the 5:00 PM Mass and occasionally join with the Adult Choir and Hand Bell Choir at 11 AM Mass. They embellish the congregational song by adding harmonies and descants. The Choir plays a very important role in the solemn Christmas and Holy Week Liturgies, offering us Seasonal Concerts, and special events. No musical experience is required. Any child or young adult in grades 4 and up are invited to join.
Rehearsals are Tuesdays 7:00 - 8:00 PM or Saturdays before the 5:00 PM Mass (see calendar).
The Folk Group leads the congregation during the 9:30 AM Mass. This group selects contemporary "folk" style hymns and employs the musical talents, especially guitar accompaniment. Practices are held on Sunday mornings 8:00 AM in the church hall. Come be a part of something special!
Hand Bell Choir
Our parish has been gifted with a three octave set of hand bells which are used to enhance the 11:00 AM liturgies twice a month as well as holidays, concerts and special occasions. No musical experience is necessary. All Adults/Young Adults are welcome. Rehearsals are Tuesdays 8:00 - 9:00 PM.
All young adults . . . If you play any instruments . . . come add those sounds to our Youth Masses. Singers and instrumentalists needed.
