As we prepare to enter the holy season of Lent, Our Lady of Lourdes Parish invites you to begin this time of reflection, repentance, and renewal with our Ash Wednesday Services on March 5, 2025.
Ash Wednesday marks the start of our 40-day journey towards Easter, a time to turn our hearts back to God through prayer, fasting, and almsgiving. It is a solemn yet hopeful reminder of our call to grow in faith and prepare for the joy of Christ’s resurrection.

Why Receive Ashes?
The ashes we receive on Ash Wednesday serve as a visible sign of our faith and a call to repentance. As the priest or minister traces the cross on our foreheads, we are reminded of the words: "Remember that you are dust, and to dust you shall return." (Genesis 3:19)
This ancient tradition is not just a ritual—it is an invitation to deepen our relationship with Christ and walk more closely with Him throughout Lent.
Join Us in Prayer and Reflection
We encourage all parishioners and members of the community to take part in this sacred day. Whether you attend Mass, receive ashes at the train station, or join us for a prayer service, let Ash Wednesday be the beginning of a meaningful Lenten season.
May this time of reflection bring you peace and spiritual renewal as we journey together toward Easter.
We look forward to seeing you on Ash Wednesday!
