Return to the Lord: Ash Wednesday – February 18, 2026

As we enter the sacred season of Lent, Our Lady of Lourdes Parish invites you and your family to begin this holy journey together on Ash Wednesday, February 18, 2026.

This powerful image of the cross formed from ashes reminds us of our call to humility, repentance, and renewal of heart. Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of our forty days of prayer, fasting, and almsgiving as we prepare to celebrate the joy of Easter.

We are blessed to offer many opportunities throughout the day for you to receive ashes and take part in worship:

Ash Wednesday Schedule – Our Lady of Lourdes

• 6:45 AM – Mass in Church and Ash Distribution at the Train Station

• 9:00 AM – Mass

• 9:45 AM – 12:00 PM – Ash Distribution in Church

• 12:00 PM – Mass

• 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM – Ash Distribution in Church

• 4:00 PM – Word Service with Ashes

• 7:30 PM – Mass

  
  

Whether you are heading to work early, stopping by during the day, or joining us in the evening, there is a time for everyone to pause, pray, and receive the ashes as a visible sign of our desire to turn back to God.

As the ashes are placed on our foreheads, we are reminded that life is a gift and that God continually calls us to begin again. May this Ash Wednesday be a meaningful start to a grace-filled Lent for you and your loved ones.
